Biography
After graduating with a degree in biology and a minor in photojournalism from UNC’s prestigious School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Pailin was selected to be a photographer for a U.S embassy-funded multimedia website chiloestories.org. The website won numerous national awards in 2005. She speaks three languages fluently (Thai, Spanish and English) and has traveled to South America and Asia for projects. Under Missy McLamb Photographers, she has participated in a variety of events using her documentary photography training, and super 8 and multimedia production experience. She is currently working as a staff photographer for the Raleigh News and Observer and is available to photograph in the U.S and internationally. Preferred camera formats: 35mm; medium format (6x6)
