Biography
Based in Chapel Hill, NC and New York, NY Missy learned photography as an adolescent from her grandmother during summers she spent in Kitty Hawk, NC. After graduating from the University of North Carolina Missy worked for Time and Newsday in New York City. In 1995 Missy returned to North Carolina and ushered in a modern approach to wedding photography to the southeast. In order to keep up with the high demand for her wedding photography Missy soon began representing other photographers in the fashion, editorial and fine-art photography fields to photograph weddings for the studio. Today Missy McLamb Photographers, Inc. represents over a dozen photographers and is managed by a staff of seven. Missy has photographed many weddings and assignments for high-profile clients including the children of Mia Farrow and Stephen King. Missy�s photographs have appeared in the New York Times, People Magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings. In 2007 Missy appeared on NBC�s the Today Show to discuss a personal photography project documenting the reconstruction of Debbie Horwitz, a 30-year-old breast cancer survivor.
